Hoover Magazine announced that our community voted OHenry’s as the best coffee shop in the city! This is an incredible honor, and we want to say thank you! These have been the most challenging three months any of us have ever experienced, but you have made us feel welcome since day one. We don’t take your support for granted.
We opened our Stadium Trace location on March 16th, and immediately faced restrictions based on the COVID-19 pandemic. Our stores exist to build community and connection around great coffee. Initially, we struggled to figure out how we could build connections when people can’t be near each other, but our exceptional staff was up to the challenge.
“We are so proud of this team that has thrived in the face of adversity,” said Blake Stevens, OHenry’s Owner, and President. “Dani Mote and her team have maintained a positive attitude while finding creative ways to build community and connection during a really tough time.”
Dani Mote was named Store Manager at Stadium Trace after serving as Assistant Manager at OHenry’s Brookwood location for three years. Putting together an award-winning team during a pandemic is as tough as it sounds. Dani accepted the challenge and rose to the occasion.
“The challenges that we’ve faced brought out the very best in our team,” said Mote. “Each individual takes so much pride in what we’ve been able to do these last three months. There is a real sense that it’s an honor to say ‘I got to help create this store.’”
Mote says that OHenry’s mission to build community and connection around great coffee has inspired their efforts.
“We looked for creative ways to build community, even when customer’s customers couldn’t come into the store. We loved getting to know new customers at curbside delivery and seeing regulars from other stores that came to check out the new location.”
In recent weeks, Stadium Trace has implemented extensive safety measures to protect employees and customers. Plexiglass partitions and reduced seating ensure that guests can space appropriately while enjoying an excellent coffee cup. It’s been so nice to have some customers back in our stores, even if there is more spacing than normal.
Dani is grateful for how opening in March of 2020 has prepared the team for future challenges and opportunities.
